Feb. 7, 1964. The Beatles touch down in Dallas, Texas — their very first time in the U.S. — kicking off Beatlemania and, in turn, the British Invasion. On Aug. 22, it spread to Canada, with the Fab Four playing the Empire Stadium in Vancouver to a throng of shrieking fans.
In order to pay homage to the musical moment that introduced North American audiences to bands like the Rolling Stones, the Animals, Herman's Hermits, the Yardbirds, Donovan and so much more, CBC Music is launching its British Invasion stream from April 2 at 12 p.m. ET, until May 1.
Click the play button to listen to the British Invasion stream, featuring tracks like Manfred Mann's "Sha La La," Donovan's "Mellow Yellow" and the Beatles' "Help!"
