Long List voting for the 2010 Bucky Awards is in full swing. You’re voting for your favourite artists of the last 12 months from north of the 49th in 10 different categories. If those aren’t enough numbers for you, we've gotten out the adding machines and broken down the List.
101 artists made it onto the Long List.
Of those artists, 68 are bands, 33 are solo acts.
Diamond Rings leads the way with nominations in 5 different categories.
6 artists (Sarah Harmer, Broken Social Scene, The Arcade Fire, Holy F*ck, Old Man Luedecke, and Saidah Baba Talibah) are all nominated in 3 categories.
Geographically, Ontario-based artists lead the way with 36 nominations. Quebec is next with 23. BC has 22, Alberta has 6, PEI has 5, Nova Scotia has 3, Manitoba has 3, New Brunswick has 2, and only 1 Saskatchewan-based artist is nominated. Better luck next year, Newfoundland and the territories.
