After listening to Family of the Year, you would not be surprised to find out the band hails from sunny California. Referencing acts such as the Mamas & the Papas and the Beach Boys, the collective blends sunny daydream arrangements with solid vocal harmonies.
Fronted by siblings Joseph and Sebastian Keefe, the L.A.-based band has been building a grassroots following since Ben Folds handpicked them to open for his band at a festival in 2009. Family of the Year released their latest, Lorna Vista, last summer, and their newest single from the album, "Hero," has been charting on Billboard, as well as in the Radio 2 Top 20.
