For the last several decades, Willie Nelson has been known to do things his own way in the music business. So when the country legend announced his latest album would consist predominantly of pop standards from the '30s and '40s, the news was not greeted here with raised eyebrows, but with welcoming arms.
Let's Face the Music and Dance shows Nelson's countrified take on songs written by a host of composers, including Irving Berlin, Django Reinhardt, Carl Perkins and several others, as well as a new spin on Nelson's own hit, "Is the Better Part Over."
The album features collaborations with Nelson's sister, Bobbie Nelson, and the songs reflect their shared musical upbringing.
Below, you can listen to the album in full ahead of its April 16 release date. Pre-order Let's Face the Music and Dance on iTunes here.
