I'm kicking mine off with a few hours in the host chair, filling in for Lisa Christiansen who is filling in for Grant Lawrence who is out promoting his brand new book!
Last week, Exclaim Magazine announced the latest addition to the roster of independent record labels in Vancouver. The new label is called Light Organ Records, a subsidiary of the widely known 604 Records (co-founded by the lads in Nickelback) set up specifically to serve the needs of young, independent bands.
On today's show, we'll play you some of Light Organ's latest signings and also celebrate the small, independent record label with dedicated song sets from Mint Records, Six Shooter, Hand Drawn Dracula and more. Well, as many as we can squeeze into four hours anyway.
