The Breakfast Club heads back to Le Petit Dejenuer in Toronto this week, this time to meet with members of Vancouver's Brasstronaut! The band have been riding a wave of appreciation since releasing their latest album Mt. Chimaera and, aside from having "Slow Knots" nominated for a Bucky Award for Best Song, they actually just won the 2010 SOCAN Echo Songwriting Prize for their song "Hearts Trompet." Both awards are based on votes from fans, so it's a pretty huge honour I'm sure. Only one way to find out--I must eat breakfast with these people...

Are you a fan of Brasstronaut? Any plans to see them live on their upcoming tours (if you haven't already?) and/or picking up any of their records?

I have five copies of Mt. Chimaera to give away to the first listeners who can correctly answer the following questions about today's show on the blog:

1. What was Edo's first musical instrument?
WINNER - Doctor_Blind

2. According to Tariq, who first taught him to play guitar?
WINNER - taggy666

3. What does Edo have for dinner when he visits the members of Fine Mist?
WINNER - novascotiatim

4. What is the name of the neighbourhood or area that Tariq lives in in Vancouver?
WINNER - Conri

5.  Which musician did Edo attend high school with?
WINNER - mikegibbons

The answers to these questions, and possibly others, will turn up on today's show. If you end up being the first person to post a winning answer on the blog, please e-mail vish_khanna [at] cbcradio3.com with "Brasstronaut Tacks" in the subject line, and your blog moniker and shipping address in your message.

Ever eaten a particularly memorable breakfast at a somewhat French restaurant? What was it and what makes it stand out?

What are YOU having for breakfast?
