UPDATE: Need a Mobile Undo Option? If you have a smartphone, apps Drunkometer and The Bad Decision Blocker may help?

Gmail Labs has recently extended the amount of time you have to ‘undo’ or unsend a message from 5 to 30 seconds.

Since it’s part of Gmail labs, it’s still in testing. However, they seem to really understand the general lack of thinking things through before hitting "send".  Mail Goggles is another invention from the lab created by a Gmail engineer named Jon Perlow. He wrote the program after sending his share of regrettable late-night messages, including a plea to get back together with an old girlfriend.

Though the explanation for Mail Goggles does reference typing under the influence, it seems a given with the explanation “By default, Mail Goggles is only active late night on the weekend as that is the time you're most likely to need it. Once enabled, you can adjust when it's active in the General settings.

It appears that Gmail is the only service really on top of undo options, but do you think it should be standard?

Should we have an ‘undo’ option for email?
How long of a window to change our mind? 1min? Is 30 seconds enough?
Any regrettable sendings you’d like to share?
