It’s been a good news/bad news kind of day. First I find out that Prince William and fiancé Kate want to invite “ordinary people” to their wedding instead of VIPs and heads of state. Yes! Then I find out what they actually mean by 'ordinary' are charity workers and volunteers. I don’t know about you, but those are extraordinary people in my books.
So while I like to think of my life as one all-encompassing good work, I realize I’ll probably get left off the guest list, my guest today might not.
Montreal’s Matthew Stotland (and his partner Casey Cohen) had this little idea a few years back to combine their many interests. They included indie rock and helping others (I might argue that’s what I do, William and Kate), but Matthew and Casey took it one step further and created the Yellow Bird Project.
