Good morning and good new years to you! Jay Ferguson of the concerto quartet Sloan here with you.
It’s 2011!… and if you’re reading this, that means you must have survived this past weekend’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Ever since time began (aka since Dick Clark began his New Years Rockin’ Eve TV program in 1972) the human race has made the concert going experience a big part of their New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Often over New Year’s Eve, our band Sloan can be found hard at work in some Canadian port of call… likely outdoors…in –20 C conditions…playing our hearts and frozen fingers out to a huddled mass of seasonal merrymakers. This year, we decided to put our instruments down and stay in by the fireplace.
Since we skipped out this year, I want to know what I missed! I’d like to hear about the New Year’s Eve concert you attended. Or if you passed on that activity this weekend, what was your favourite New Year’s Eve concert memory from the past and why?
