Wrath of Khanna: The Breakfast Club with Dan Mangan!

Vancouver's Dan Mangan is a very, very popular artist throughout Canada and right here on R3. He and his band, some of whom have their own outfit called the Crackling, are on the road a lot these days, all in support of Dan's boldest, most ambitious solo record to date, Oh Fortune. I like Dan so we all decided to meet at Aunties and Uncles in Toronto for a tasty meal and catch up. You can listen to us do all of this.

Are you a fan of Dan Mangan? Any plans to see him live or to pick up his latest album?

I have five Oh Fortune CDs to give away to the first listeners who can correctly answer the following questions about today's show on the blog (if you guess in advance, a pony will get sick on another pony while an Irish rock icon croons in the background):

1. In his earliest memory of his first musical memory, what was Kenton sitting on?

2. What was it about the Polaris Music Prize gala that disappointed Gord the most?

3. What did Colin’s mom tell him was the reason why bees and wasps are so attracted to him?

4. What is it that Dan likes most about Said the Whale?

5. Who did Dan watch the Constantines’ final show with at the Dawson City Music Festival?

The answer to these questions, and possibly others, will turn up on today's show. If you end up being the first person to post the winning answer on the blog (once!), please e-mail vish_khanna [at] cbcradio3.com with "Stand by Mangan" in the subject line, and your blog moniker and shipping address in your message.

How many more times do you think I will go to Aunties and Uncles on this show this year? Where does the Breakfast Club need to stop next? Who needs to be on this show?

What are YOU having for breakfast? I am on twitter and WE are on twitter. Plus, now you can "Like" us by joining our Facebook page, which gets you some exclusive previews of the show and much more! Or some. Some more.
