Before Colin Stetson made the Polaris Music Prize shortlist, you may have heard him on stage or on recordings by Arcade Fire, Feist, Tom Waits, LCD Soundsystem, The National and tens of others! In 2008 he released his first solo album New History Warfare, Vol. 1.
Today we celebrate the many session musicians who, like Colin, have gone on to release their own material. We’ll be hearing Then & Now sets featuring session musicians, collaborators and touring members who have gone on to create and release their own material.
Also coming up on the show, an interview with Jennifer Castle! Before releasing her albums under Castlemusic (and now under her own name), Jennifer collaborated with other artists including Constantines, Elliott Brood and Fucked Up!
