As you may have heard, or seen, there's a new reality show on CBC TV each Sunday night at 9pm called Cover Me Canada, featuring up and coming bands performing "the most iconic chart-topping songs from some of the greatest Canadian artists of all time". The bands are judges Canadian Idol-style, and are competing for a $100,000 prize, a major label single release, and radio play.
This brings us to our...
Poll Question of the Day:
DO YOU LIKE COVER SONGS?
Yes or no? If yes, what are your favourites? If no, why? Which Canadian songs deserved to be covered? Have you watched the show? What do you think of judged competitive reality music programs?
Let us know your thoughts by posting to our blog, emailing feedback@cbcradio3.com, or twitter @cbcradio3 or @grantlcbcr3 and we'll discuss your comments throughout the show.
Joining Grant Lawrence Live today will be Cover Me Canada judge Ron Fair and contestant Matt Kelly on CBC Radio 3's web radio and Sirius 152. You can check out all of the contestants, and their music right here on Cover Me Canada's Radio 3 page.
