Tonight I’ll be hosting the ‘Freshy at Twenty: An Oral History of Mint Records’ book launch. Should you be in Vancouver and want to check out the event (which includes a cub sing-along, Babe Rainbow DJ Set and Beekeeper performance!) all the info is here, and it's free!
Kaitlin Fontana’s book not only celebrates an important Canadian indie record label, but also a special time and place in the Vancouver music scene. It has also got me thinking about books on music. While perusing through Pitchfork’s staff recommendations, I couldn’t help but wonder what would be on your list. What music books you would recommend.
DO YOU READ MUSIC BOOKS?
If yes, what is the best one you’ve read?
If no, why?
