Taking a break from his main gig, the New Pornographers, A.C. Newman breaks out his solo side in this session from October 25th 2004. That year he released a solo debut called The Slow Wonder, which Pitchfork described as "soulful sing-alongs with grit, pop nuggets that hold up to hours of repeat play, and ultimately, the sound of a great songwriter hitting his stride."
Mr. Newman arrived at our studio with an all star band and layed down 6 tracks of pure pop bliss. I just listened to this 6 times in a row.
