Books! They're great! And today, RADIOGRAHAM is all about celebrating them - particularly, the five that are in the running for this year's Canada Reads!
Other than songs, books are pretty much my favourite thing in the world, so when music and writing collide I am one very happy camper! That's why I'm so glad that Canada Reads almost always has a musician on the panel, and why I'm doubly glad that this year a book by a musician about music is in the running - On A Cold Road by Mr. Dave Bidini.
Today on the show, I'll have music from some Canada Reads related artists, as well as a Way Back Track from Rheostatics (Dave Bidini's first band), and I'll talk about the ways songwriting and book writing are similar!
Also, I'm on a roll of reading great books, so I need some help - what awesome books would you recommend to me, and to each other?
