Is Rajaton, the superstar ensemble from Finland, a pop group or a classical group? The six singers do a killer version of a pop hit by Queen, yet they also knock the music of composer Jean Sibelius out of the park.

Decide for yourself with this exclusive CBC video.

Last summer, CBC Music recorded Rajaton at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. John's as part of Festival 500, one of the biggest choral music festivals in North America.

Rajaton headlined the event, and in this version of Queen’s 1981 hit “Under Pressure,” the singers show off their incredible blend, beautiful intonation and stunning stage presence.

Rajaton (which means “boundless” in Finnish) is part of the new world of music, where stylistic boundaries are crossed and blurred − all for the purpose of giving good music a new lease on life.

And no matter what kind of music these singers choose, they sing it well. I mean really well. They set the standard worldwide.

What do you think? When a group is this good, does it matter what kind of music they decide to perform?
