The Official Charts Company just released the U.K.’s Top 40 biggest selling albums of all time list. The top three albums are Queen’s 1981 Greatest Hits collection, which has sold over 5.8 million copies, followed by the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (five million copies sold) and Abba’s Gold (4.9 million copies sold).
The newest album to make the list is Adele’s 21, which has sold 4.18 million copies, landing in sixth place. As far as Canadian albums, there were two: Shania Twain’s 1997 album Come On Over came in 15th, and Michael Bublé’s 2009 release Crazy Love, which earned the 28th spot.
