Great Lake Swimmers have recorded a brilliant album in New Wild Everywhere. If you have yet to hear it, today is your lucky day.
Not only will I be playing the entire record, I'll have an in-depth, track-by-track interview with the man behind the music, Tony Dekker.
Now, Tony is not generally given to talking specifically about his inspiration, lyrics and/or where his songs come from, but he does a damned fine job of opening up...as uncomfortable as he may be.
Add to that, I'd like to give you the chance to win your very own copy of New Wild Everywhere! It will require some attentive listening to our chat, though. Answer the three following questions correctly and your name will be placed in a draw!
1. Did Tony help carry gear into the subway station?
2. Which GLS album did Andy MacGoffin not produce?
3. What type of song does Tony say "Changes in the Wind" is?
Wait until you have the answers for all three questions, then email Craig.Norris@cbc.ca with "GLS Contest" in the subject line! The draw won't be done until after the Sunday edition of this show airs!
