Busy Thursday at Appetite for Distraction! First up: it’s Shotgunning with the Sunparlour Players. The Toronto-based gospel-rock trio will be in for chat, songs and well, good times.
And also… we’ll take on the hot topic of musician requesting donations – a subject that’s been burning up the internet since a column appeared yesterday in the Vancouver's Georgia Straight, where Michael Mann takes bands to task for starting campaigns to fund projects in a piece entitled: “Boo hoo, broke bands, quit asking for charity”.
I’ll be chatting with Michael later in the show, but before that, I’ll chat with the PEI band Paper Lions, who are looking for donations to help them finish their album, and the focus on Mann's column.
