We've got great acoustic blues on tap for you on the Friday, April 13th edition of Canada Live. Two of the country's cherished artists, Matt Andersen and Del Barber, play solo sets and even come together for a couple of tunes in this concert from the Maurice Young Millenium Centre in Whister, B.C.
Matt Andersen has won the 2012 Maple Blues award for Entertainer of the Year two years in a row. That's in addition to taking the Songwriter of the Year and Acoustic Act of the Year. He carted home two awards last year, too. And now he's up for five East Coast Music Awards, to be handed out on Sunday April 15th. This is a fellow who knows how to rock a house!
For his part, Del Barber's second record earned him a Juno nomination, and two West Coast Music Awards. He's just signed with Six Shooter Records, who will release his third album "Headwaters" on May 1. Del Barber also puts on a live show that resonates with audiences.
