Ahead of the 2012 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, we asked several of the nominees to reply to our questionnaire.
Here, The Stellas, who are nominated for a trio of awards, including group or duo of the year:
Q: Describe your latest album in 5 words or less
A: From the heart.
Q: How would you describe the Canadian country music scene to someone who knows nothing about it?
A: It has something for everybody. It's a super friendly and welcoming community full of talent.
Q: If you weren't making music for a living, what do you think you would be doing?
A: Making music for fun.
Q: If you could record in any city in the world, where would you go? What one piece of musical equipment would you bring?
A: We would go to Liverpool and we would bring a reel-to-reel to record on!
Q: If you've attended the CCMA Awards before, what one piece of advice would you give to someone who hasn't been?
A: Get some good sleep before you go and take in as many shows, seminars and parties as you can. It's a time to remember.
