Music legend Paul McCartney has announced two history-making Canadian concerts – one in Vancouver and one in Edmonton.

The Nov. 25 Vancouver concert at the recently reopened BC Place will mark McCartney’s first in the seaside city in nearly 50 years. The Beatles performed their one and only Vancouver show at Empire Stadium in 1964.

The former Beatle will also touch down at Edmonton's Rexall Place on Nov. 28, marking his first-ever concert in the Alberta capital.

For weeks, the two cities have been abuzz with speculation about the shows, which were confirmed on Friday.

McCartney’s On The Run Tour has spanned North and South America, the U.K., Europe, and the United Arab Emirates.

Highlights have included a free show in Mexico City that drew a whopping 250,000 fans, as well as a two-night stint at New York’s Yankee Stadium, which had 90,000 fans singing along to hits including “Hey Jude,” “Lady Madonna,” “Back in the U.S.S.R.” and “Day Tripper.”

Tickets for the shows go on sale at Ticketmaster on Friday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. Prices range from $35 to $250.
