My second day at Pop Montreal already feels better than the first. Slightly stressed and extremely soaked Vish has made way for well-rested and music festival-ready Vish; the rain has finally stopped in Montreal, I'm moving around town on Bixi bikes, and ready for a full day of activity.
That's what I started typing several hours ago, just before my radio magic-making machine died. After that, stressed Vish came back! I was all set to interview Grand Analog and Diamond Rings when disaster struck! So weird, because I had a lovely night watching Van Dyke Parks perform yesterday and enjoyed a nice breakfast with Karkwa this morning. Here's hoping the rest of the night goes well, as I make tracks for food and then out to see Deerhoof and Danielson, Swans and Baby Dee and Lily Fawn, and Les Savy Fav. That's the plan any way. Thus far my time in Montreal has been a lot about plans being changed for me...
Is anyone out there heading to anything at Pop Montreal tonight? If so, where will you be? Vish needs a hug. And some loud, crashing music!
