When Brad Weber isn't providing percussion for Canadian dance-pop darling Caribou, he's the main man behind Toronto's Pick A Piper. The band's self-titled full-length album is out now, and you can stream it until April 10 on CBC Music.
Like Caribou, Pick A Piper creates dance music using organic instruments and voices, as evidenced on their 2009 and 2010 EPs. The debut album is a step removed from their earlier work, with more emphasis on synthesizers and electronic percussion, but the result still sounds like an organic product, featuring vocal contributions from members of Braids, Born Ruffians and the Ruby Suns.
