Happy Holidays! By now, you've partaken in the usual Christmas fare - midnight mass, mountains of gifts, turkey feasting, couch napping. These are the activities that define Christmas for many of us.
Then, there are those special things you do with your family and friends that are unique to your own Christmas experience. Maybe it's a skate on a nearby frozen pond, or maybe it's a traditional meal that was brought over from "the homeland" by your parents. Perogies for Christmas dinner? Lasagna with curry spice?
We'll make sense of this and more on the show as we explore the UNtraditional. Odario Williams from Grand Analog will share memories of a Carribean Christmas in Winnipeg, Dan Werb of Woodhands chimes in on the ideal restaurant for those of Jewish faith on Christmas Day. Plus Laura Barrett, Olenka and the Autumn Lovers, Elephant Stone and more!
And we'll hear about UNtraditions from R3 listeners/bloggers SusieQTunes and Doctor_Blind.
I have two unique Holiday rituals: 1) Celebrating my birthday on Xmas Eve! 2) Going to see a movie in the afternoon each December 25th.
