I feel like it was just the other week when we last spoke about busking on the National Hum show. Well, you clearly can't keep a bunch of buskers down because both the Waterloo Busker Carnival and Toronto's ScotiaBank Buskerfest take place this week. There are other things going on too, I'm sure, but will busking dominate our discussion today?
Busking. That's a fun word isn't it? Really, adding any form of "busk" to a sentence makes it more exciting. "Man, I sure got pretty busked the other night." "Gretzky scores! The crowd goes busking crazy!" "Would you like more busk with that?" "Misty, check out how busk-a-delic that guy's busk is!" See? See how cool busking can be?
Was that me discussing these buskerfests? I don't think I did a very good job. Hang tight, I'll bring it back. There are many other things going on this week, including concerts by Rich Aucoin, Blue Rodeo, Tegan and Sara, Bishop Morocco, Lisa Bozikovic, and Jon McKiel among others. I'll try and play these folks on the show.
